Correcting Houston Valve--Structural Priority
The Houston valve is located between the transverse and descending sections of the colon in front of the position of the left kidney. It prevents decaying fecal matter from backing up into the transverse colon. Test for stuck open or shut, as with the illeocecal valve. Correct either using the correction for hiatal hernia.
